You will be picked up from your hotel in Rome at 6.45 Am. After a short panoramic tour of its northern part, we will leave Rome, by the “Sun Route” motorway, crossing the regions Lazio and Umbria, to reach our destination: Florence. City of Etruscan-Roman origins, it flourished in the Middle Ages as a free commune. Furtherly refined by the Renaissance Art and enriched by the Medici rule, Florence is the cradle of Italian language. We will arrive in the heart of the city to visit the Galleria dell’Accademia, where the original David by Michelangelo is kept, together with the Third “Pietà” and the Prisoners, also by Michelangelo. We will then proceed to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the magnificent dome projected by Brunelleschi, the Baptistry with the golden bronze doors by Ghiberti and Giotto’s Belfry. From here, we walk to Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence’s Town Hall, the Loggia dei Lanzi with the Perseus by Cellini and the Fountain of Neptune.
After lunch, we will go to Piazza Santa Croce. Free time at disposal to visit the church of Santa Croce (with the graves of Michelangelo, Galileo, Rossini, Machiavelli) or to go into some typical shops, such as the ancient "School of Leather".
At about 17.00 hrs. we will continue by coach on the Viale dei Colli to reach Piazzale Michelangelo Michelangelo, where a copy of the David stands. From the square you will enjoy the huge view of the city below, with the famous Ponte Vecchio. Return to Rome at 21.00 hrs approximately.

Including transport by de luxe coach, visits as  per the schedule with local guide, entrance fees, lunch (drinks  and personal extras excluded), tour director during the journey. We will visit churches so please note that shorts and sleeveless are not permitted while outfits are allowed, there are are walks so we suggest to wear comfortable shoes
